Lag, Angle of
(a) The angle of displacement of the magnetic axis of an armature of a
dynamo, due to its magnetic lag. The axis of magnetism is displaced in
the direction of rotation. (See Magnetic Lag.)
(b) The angle expressing the lag of alternating current and
electro-motive force phases.
